Handmade in West Sussex, England, and nautically knotted with natural ceramic beads, these cool dog necklaces not only look great but can help discourage ticks from attaching to your dog.
The EM® ceramic beads feature the harmonising frequency capabilities of Effective Microorganisms (EM® are good bacteria that increase natural immune resistance). The frequency is thought to be unpleasant for ticks, helping to create a natural aid to discourage ticks.
You may sometimes find a tick on your dog but they tend not to attach.

For the correct size measure your dog’s neck and then allow a few more centimetres, so that the necklace sits close to your dog’s skin. This allows the EM® Tick-Off Necklace to move freely, and the EM® ceramic beads to do their work.

Product Care and Important Information
The EM® Tick-Off Dog Necklace is not a dog collar. DO NOT attach a leash to the necklace.
The EM® Tick-Off Dog Necklace may take up to 4 weeks to start working.
For the best results, replace your dog’s EM® Tick-Off Dog Necklace annually.
Always keep the EM® Tick-Off Necklace on your dog during the tick season.
Keep your dog’s EM® Tick-Off Dog Necklace clean by rinsing it thoroughly with warm water and drying it in the sun. DO NOT use soap or other cleaning chemicals
Your dog can keep their EM® Tick-Off Dog Necklace on when swimming in the sea but not in swimming pools, as these contain chemicals.
We recommend, removing your dog’s EM® Tick-Off Dog Necklace if playing rough games with other dogs, home alone and at night when sleeping. Just put it back on in the morning.
The EM® Tick-Off Dog Necklace is a great natural preventative measure to help against ticks but, like other tick aid products, there is no guarantee that it will keep these pests off your furry friends. Answers to your EM® tick-off necklace questions

It’s no problem if your necklace gets wet, as long as it’s not in chemical water (i.e. swimming pool, washing machine). Just dry it out in the sun.

EM® beads are natural, so there is no reason why you can’t use with other products. We always think a combination of preventative measures work well.

We recommend replacing your dog’s necklace once a year. However we have lots of colours and some like to refresh more often, which is also fine.

EM® Tick-Off Necklaces should be worn as much as possible in tick season, not just when out walking. We put ours on in the morning and take it off at night before bedtime. For safety reasons, we also recommend taking your necklace off your dog if they are left alone.
Your necklace will take about a month to be affective once your dog is wearing it.

We don’t recommend EM® Tick-Off Necklaces for flees. We receive lots of evidence that they help with ticks but not flees. There are lots of natural products on the market to help with flee prevention and CAM4animals is a great resource to research for these products.

Yes, your dog can wear his dog collar as normal with our necklaces. We recommend they sit below the collar and slightly looser, so they can move and rub on your dog’s skin.
What does EM® Stand for?
EM® stands for Effective Micro-organisms®.
EM® technology was developed by Japanese scientist Dr Teruo Higa, comprising three key groups of microbes - yeast, photosynthetic bacteria and Lactic Acid bacteria. This technology has been applied to a range of microbial-based products, the main one being EM-1, a liquid culture that features in all others.
