Harbour Hounds is proud to announce an initiative to help fund vital conservation work to protect the UK’s marine environment and marine life. Every sale of a new and exclusive addition to the company’s range of natural tick repellent products, the Sea Thrift EM Tick-off Necklace, will see a 10% donation to the marine conservation charity Sea-Changers.

As a brand established from its founder Sarah Shewring’s love of the ocean and the beach, Harbour Hounds is delighted to be joining forces with Sea-Changers to help raise money for the projects they fund. These include ocean and beach clean-ups, education and awareness-raising about marine conservation issues, species and habitat protection, and conservation research. Since being set up in 2011, Sea-Changers has awarded over 175 grants to projects right around the UK and given out over £100,000 in small grants.

Helen Webb, Co-Founder of Sea-Changers said: "We are thrilled to be working with Harbour Hounds. Sarah is someone who really cares about the marine environment and has always been clear that she wants Harbour Hounds to give something back to the sea she loves! The EM Tick-Off Necklace is a great way for her customers to create some seachange with every necklace they buy. "

Harbour Hounds is not just passionate about dogs, but loves all animals, and is keen to ensure the brand does not have a negative impact on the environment, especially the sea. As little plastic as possible is used in the manufacture and packaging of Harbour

Hounds products, with alternative options sourced wherever possible, or recyclable plastics used if no alternative is available.

Harbour Hounds’ range of EM Tick-off Necklaces for dogs are handmade in West Sussex, and nautically knotted with anti-tick ceramic beads, meaning these cool dog necklaces not only look great but can help prevent ticks attaching to your dog.

The Sea Thrift EM Tick-off Necklace is an exclusive design for Sea-Changers, featuring pink and blue cord, and an anchor charm that is not used on any of the other necklaces in the range. As with others in the range, the Sea Thrift EM Tick-off Necklace comes in four standard sizes (Small, Medium, Large and Extra Large) and can also be ordered in bespoke sizes (just email us your dog’s measurements).

“I am truly delighted that Harbour Hounds is now a Sea-Changers partner. As a lifestyle brand, inspired by the fun and beauty of coastal living, Harbour Hounds is passionate about protecting the environment," explains Sarah Shewring, Founding Director and creative force behind Harbour Hounds. "Sea-Changers' unique approach enables businesses like mine to support and fund marine conservation projects around the UK that will have a real impact and often would not happen without their grants program. And now our customers can help contribute to their vital work too."
